Rhinoplasty in Portland
Your nose is the center of your face, so it is no wonder that it is an important aspect as to how you view yourself. If you are unhappy with the size or shape of your nose, it can be corrected by the plastic surgeons at Portland Plastic Surgery Group with rhinoplasty. This procedure, also called nose surgery or a nose job, may help women and men who are self-conscious about their nose by creating a beautiful and natural-looking nose that is in proportion with the rest of their facial features.
Your Nose Surgery
Because your nose is like no one else’s, your cosmetic concerns and desired improvements are unique as well. Some of the benefits of nose surgery may include:
- Improving a nose that’s either too big or too small
- Creating a nose that’s in proportion with other facial features
- Correcting a prominent bump
- Widening or narrowing the nose
- Straightening a crooked nose
- Adjusting the nostrils and tip of the nose
Many patients report an increase in self-confidence after their nose surgery. Your surgeon will work with you to help you determine what you would like your nose to look like with our 3-D imaging.

Procedure & Recovery
Rhinoplasty is performed in about 1 to 2 hours with the patient under general anesthesia. After the procedure, a splint will need to be worn for a period of 5 to 7 days to help maintain your nose’s new shape. Bruising around the eyes and swelling of the nose should be expected. However, many patients report that recovery from nose surgery is relatively fast, and that they are able to return to work after 1 week.
