Dr. Zegzula performed surgery on this 61 year old woman who had a mastectomy and reconstruction in 2009. During this time she did require radiation of the right chest wall, which had significant long-term effects on her right breast, leaving the right breast implant contracted and sitting too high with no projection. Dr. Zegzula performed a capsulectomy and replaced the right breast implant, as well as fat grafting to correct additional deformities of the right breast.

She had previously undergone a double mastectomy and had bilateral tissue expanders placed. Dr. Zegzula preformed surgery on this 43-year-old patient who presented to the clinic with right sided breast cancer. The patient underwent a double mastectomy with immediate placement of tissue expanders. She had a secondary surgery for removal of the tissue expanders with placement of permanent implants. Dr. Zegzula placed saline implants as well as fat grafting to both breasts to achieve symmetry. The patient was very happy with her result!

Dr. O'Brien performed a 2 stage breast reconstruction, placing tissue expanders in the first surgery and Natrelle INSPIRA Implants in the second surgery. To achieve a symmetrical look Dr. O'Brien placed a 495cc implant in the right breast and 560cc implant in the left breast. The after photos were taken 3 months after surgery. Patient 14
Dr. O'Brien performed surgery on this 41 year-old patient with a recent diagnosis of left breast cancer. She elected to proceed with bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies with the immediate placement of silicone gel implants. By performing her reconstruction in this manner, she eliminated the 4-6 month time period for the more traditional tissue-expander approach to reconstruction. She is thrilled with her results. Aside from the scar along the lower part of her breast, it would be hard to tell that she had breast reconstruction at all.
