Dermal Fillers
It’s inevitable that the older we get the more our skin starts to lose its elasticity and youth. If you are left with a look that could use a little refreshing, it’s time to consider injectable dermal fillers for those wrinkles, lines or lost facial volume. We offer Restylane® and JUVÉDERM® products in Portland, Oregon, for women and men who would like to rejuvenate their appearance without having a surgical procedure.
Our Skin Rejuvenation Specialists
Few plastic surgery practices feature a team of skin rejuvenation specialists with as much experience, training, and passion for aesthetics as Portland Plastic Surgery Group. They are led by Colleen, a physician assistant and our primary injector. Thai and Amanda are RNs who, along with Colleen, administer injectables and perform laser skin rejuvenation treatments. Martha is a certified advanced esthetician who offers patients the latest skin care treatments.

How Fillers Work
Dermal fillers replace volume lost within or under the skin. We offer 2 of the most popular filler product lines, JUVÉDERM and Restylane, because they are FDA approved and look and feel natural when injected around the mouth, into the lips, or in other facial areas. Our fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the skin that helps the skin hold moisture and gives it youthful firmness.

ShopBenefits of Fillers
Today, dermal fillers are formulated to correct a variety of concerns, which commonly include:
- Smile lines and marionette lines around the mouth
- Hollows under the eyes and at the temples
- Flat, undefined cheeks
- Thin lips
The goal of our skilled injectors is to use the right amount of the right filler for your specific area of concern. The illustration shows areas that we commonly treat, and the table shows which products are most appropriate for various aesthetic concerns. Because results are temporary, the table also lists how long you can expect results to last.

Lip Fillers
We offer the latest fillers specifically made for lip injections, including JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA™ XC and Restylane® Kysse™, to provide a variety of improvements, including:
- Adding fullness to naturally thin lips or lips that have thinned with age
- Defining lip borders
- Smoothing away vertical lines around the lips (often called lipstick lines or smoker’s lines)
Are lip fillers safe?
We only use FDA-approved lip fillers—making these treatments safe for most people. Side effects such as bruising and swelling are usually mild and fade within 30 days.
Do they hurt?
Discomfort during lip injections is minimal because we use very fine needles and topical numbing cream. Most fillers contain lidocaine to further enhance comfort during the injections.
How long do lip fillers last?
Results from lip injections generally last about 6 to 12 months depending on the filler used and individual factors.

Procedure & Recovery
Our experienced skin rejuvenation specialists, Amanda and Thai, our RNs, and Colleen, PA-C, perform dermal filler treatments in the comfort of our office. Your injector begins with a consultation to discuss the improvements you’d like to see and determine which filler is best suited to your cosmetic goals and individual needs.
The filler is injected into the skin or lips using a tiny needle. JUVÉDERM and Restylane products contain lidocaine, a numbing agent, so the treatments create little to no discomfort. With just a few quick, precisely placed injections, your treatment will be complete.
