Your Neck Lift Recovery

Most patients need approximately one to three weeks of rest and recovery after neck lift surgery before resuming their normal routines. During your recovery, you can expect to experience swelling, soreness, and bruising in the treated area. You can alleviate the swelling by sleeping with your head elevated, and your surgeon will also prescribe pain medication. While your body heals, you’ll need to get lots of rest and stay hydrated. Although you can start easing back into your normal routine after a couple of weeks, you’ll need to wait at least five to six weeks to engage in heavy lifting or strenuous physical activity.
