According to the RealSelf website, the go-to reference for many women considering getting breast implants, breast augmentation has a 98% “Worth It” rating. The rating is calculated based on input from actual patients who use the site. For many women, getting breast implants enhances their confidence and helps them feel more feminine.
But what explains why women in the west are more likely to get breast augmentation than women in other regions of the country. Weather and culture probably play a significant role. Women who spend days on the sunny beaches of Southern California want to look their best in bikinis and—for many women—that means larger breasts.
